FOAP button  Volunteers Needed for FOAP's Dinner and Auction

Want to help FOAP, but not sure how … why not volunteer to work on the charity's second annual dinner/auction, scheduled for Saturday, November 22, at the RA Centre, 2451 Riverside Drive in Ottawa. Last year’s event was a sold-out success and, with your help, this year’s event will be no different.

If you have some time to spare and wouldn’t mind approaching prospective donors, selling tickets, preparing gift baskets or helping out on the day of the event, we’d be thrilled to hear from you. And, if you have some good quality items that we could auction or have storage space for the next few months, that would be great!

If you'd like to know more about the fun-filled event or if you’d like to help with ticket sales, please contact us at information@foap.on.ca

FOAP button  Fundraising/Administration

Without our many dedicated volunteers this organization would not exist.

Each month our volunteers perform various administrative activities such as: responding to incoming calls; screening and visiting potential foster and adoptive homes; making veterinary appointments; driving cats and dogs to veterinary appointments and foster homes; picking up and delivering food and litter, medication, and administering medication when foster parent is unable to do so.

Our volunteers organize craft and bake sales, operate bingos, sell Entertainment Books, and FOAP merchandise, run garage sales and do telephone work. They also maintain our database.

They are a small group of full-time volunteers who deal daily with FOAP-related matters. Others spend at least thirty hours a month in fund-raising efforts, some volunteers work only a few hours per year.
